The momentum is starting to gather pace!

Talk of an autumn showdown between Tyson Fury and David Haye is foremost in the tabloid gossip.

Haye, yet to get his comeback motoring, courtesy of injury, is looking for a rated opponent and the vociferous Fury fits the bill.

Furthermore, both camps look keen to get this one going with Mick Hennessy, Fury?s promoter, remarking in the media,

?Haye is the fight I want next because it doesn?t get any better than that for Tyson.?

?It would be a shot in the arm for British boxing.?

And as for a possible conflict of interests in the television stakes, with Fury covered by Channel 5 and Haye covered by Sky Sports, Hennessy doesn?t foresee a problem, further adding,

?TV won?t be a stumbling block. It would be the fight of the decade.?

?Tyson?s always wanted this and Haye?s camp are keen.?

Well let?s get those contracts signed and a date set then!

  • Blimey, didn’t even know Haye was coming out of retirement. I’m not sure on this Fury bloke, seems very awkward and gangly to me!

  • sorry, but you’ve only got to look at the picture of Fury at the top of this article to realise why so many people want to see him put on the seat of his pants, Haye all the way for me!

  • despite those spindly chicken legs I reckon Fury will shake up the heavyweight division over the next eighteen months or so
