Following on from having relinquished his heavyweight titles, Tyson Fury was hit with another blow today.
After allegations that the world heavyweight champion had taken cocaine, the British Boxing Board of Control announced that they had suspended the boxers licence.
In a brief statement the BBBofC remarked that Fury?s licence was suspended,
‘Pending further investigation into anti-doping and medical issues’..
The procedure behind such events will now require Tyson Fury to meet with the British Boxing Board of Control whereby a decision will be taken as to whether he can box again.
Tyson also has a doping charge to answer to; this hearing is scheduled for November.
These are bad times for the 28-year-old unbeaten fighter and we?re hoping that, fairly soon, the boxer will be back amongst the big-boys of the most exciting division in boxing.
