There?s no doubting that Boxing thrives when the heavyweight scene is lively, colourful and has some serious contenders amongst its ranks.
Therefore, whilst there were mutterings about Tyson Fury being severely hit, or even banned, for his latest colourful outburst aimed in the direction of Dereck Chisora after their scheduled fight was postponed, I never really expected the British Boxing Board of Control to come down that hard on the colourful Tyson Fury.
Instead, the punishment handed out was what was to be expected, a fine.
Tyson, on account of his behaviour, has been fined the sum of £15,000 for the July outburst thereby enabling the all-British heavyweight showdown, at which the European and British titles will be on the line as well as, for the winner, a chance to fight for the world title, to take place.
The bout is scheduled to take place on 22nd November, however there is a press conference scheduled for this Monday to promote the bout, that in itself could be a lively encounter and something to look forward to.
Best behaviour please gentlemen!
Fury Punished for Fracas!
