With the huge fight between Tyson Fury and David Haye still some way off, it?s interesting that the confident Tyson Fury is already looking ahead to who he might take on should he defy logic and beat David Haye.

In the media Tyson, with a record of 21-0 and 15 by way of knockout, has spoken some very complimentary words about the fighter we, here at Vital Boxing, perceive will be the sports next superstar, Deontay Wilder.

Now normally, Tyson Fury?s tweets are laden with vitriolic words but on this occasion, whilst being interviewed on the television, he had nothing but good things to say about Wilder with Fury commenting,

?I think he?s [Deontay] a great heavyweight. I think he?s going to be a killer. I think he?s a machine from America. 30 knockouts in 30 wins, he?s a beast, a great fighter. It would be great for me to fight him.?

Indeed it would and if Wilder can become a world heavyweight champion the fight with Fury, assuming he?s not been hammered into retirement by the fists of David Haye would be huge at the box office.

But let?s see how things pan out first shall we!

  • I do get the impression that Fury is an old schools fighter that will accept defeat and just dust himself down and fancy trying all over again
