Over the weekend we speculated on who Wladimir Klitschko might face next when he beat Bryant Jennings.
The inference being given that the Ukrainian multi-belt heavyweight champion might opt out of fighting Tyson Fury and take on the WBC heavyweight title holder, Deontay Wilder.
But following a comfortable nights work against Jennings, Wladimir did confirm that his current intention is to take on Fury in what will be a mandatory defence.
Speaking about facing Tyson Fury Wladimir had this to say,
?It will be exciting as I like to fight big men.
?He is definitely a guy who is ambitious and I think it is going to be exciting.
All rather civilized I thought.
However, Tyson Fury was more bullish in his reply with the unbeaten heavyweight replying,
?Let?s see him try against someone the same size, younger, stronger, fitter, faster and with a knockout punch ? me.
?I?m confident I?ll be the man to end his reign and begin the Fury era.?
Let?s hope the fight, when it does happen, is as brash and as exciting as the banter Tyson lets flow.
