On the back of his remarkable, but well deserved in against Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf, Tyson Fury has categorically stated that he will not fight David Haye.
Having been scheduled to fight the former world cruiserweight and world heavyweight champion twice only to see Haye pull out on both occasions with injuries, Fury wants nothing to do with anything that suggests they might finally meet in the ring.
In fact the newly crowned champion, so it would seem, is prepared to give up the version of the title Haye might achieve mandatory status for with the new heavyweight champion reported as having remarked,
?Other guys only mention my name to try and get a bit of publicity for themselves and try to get big fights.
?The man with no name?s making a comeback isn?t he? If he gets mandatory for the WBA, he can have the WBA. Let him go ad fight Fred Flintstone or Joe Bloggs and make no money.
?Whatever title he gets a mandatory for, if I hold that belt, I will vacate rather than put money in his pocket. Let him fight the next challenger.?
It seems that Fury has, and never will, forgive Haye for wasting his time not once but twice.
