It wasn?t until the back end of last week that Tyson Fury reacted to the claims made by David Haye that he?d be beaten inside two rounds.

Tyson came out and suggested that he was now the best heavyweight on the planet and following the announcement that the fight was off had this to say,

?There only would have been one winner and that was me.?

?An army couldn?t have stopped me on Saturday night because I?d prepared mentally and physically.?

?I couldn?t have done any more in training, I?m in the shape of my life. I just couldn?t wait to show everyone what I was going to do.?

?There?s no excuses ever out of me. You never hear me say excuses. If I had two broken hands I would still go in there and fight on Saturday night.?

?Every time I get a big opportunity something goes wrong. Why can I not get my time to shine??

Fate does seem to conspire against Fury but if he is to get to the top then perhaps he?ll have done it the hard way, which sometimes make the route that much sweeter, upon reflection.
