The press conference earlier this week, designed to promote the forthcoming heavyweight contest between Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora, saw Fury unleash some unsavoury remarks.
Following the press conference, in which Fury failed to maintain a degree of civility the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBOC) promised that they would assess what went on and act accordingly.
It now transpires that Fury will be called before the BBBOC to explain his behaviour, when the board next sits on 13th August.
Talking about what went on at the press conference, the BBBOC general secretary Robert Smith is quoted as having remarked,
?I have received numerous complaints about the behaviour of Tyson Fury from the media and the public.’
‘I am concerned and disappointed.’
The bad standard set by Fury contravenes regulation 25 and the fighter can, we?d suggest, expect a heavy fine, although we should also point out that a failure to attend will result in Fury?s license being withdrawn!
Fury Falls Foul of Regulation 25!
