After being stripped of his world title belt, by the WBA, due to his inactivity, the suggestion doing the rounds was that the act may force the Nottingham super-middleweight into retirement.

Currently side-lined by injury and with age starting to creep up on, it?s thought that any ambition to box on might have been vanquished by the WBA?s act and also the recent defeat suffered by Julio Cesar Chavez Junior that saw his Las Vegas swansong disappear.

Today the hot rumour is that we?ll know exactly what Froch?s plans are next week with the fighter remarking to the media,

‘I’ve got meetings in the next few days and I’ll make a decision early next week.?
