With Carl Froch still chasing a fight under the glitter and glamour of Las Vegas, we?re hearing that he may well get his wish.

Rumours are filtering through that Froch is, as he wished, being lined up for a fight against the former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez.

Froch who has a record that reads 33-2 with 24 by way of knockout is being lined up for a bout against Chavez Junior, who has a record off 33-2 with 24 by way of knockout at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, on 24th January.

If that is the case it would appear highly unlikely that Froch would fulfil his obligation to face the IBF mandatory challenger James DeGale.

Indeed, with it being decreed that Froch has to face DeGale before February then it could see the Nottingham fighter vacate the belt in order to fulfil his Vegas dream.

We?ll do our best to keep you abreast of the situation.
