Having already stated that he?d not side-step anyone and also that he would not allow any of the governing bodies to strip him of his belts; Carl Froch has been true to his word.

News has filtered through, this morning; that Carl Froch will face his mandatory challenger, George Groves.

The bout is set to be held in late November or early December, at a venue still to be announced.

Speaking about the bout, Froch has remarked,

?I?m excited the first defence of both my belts is a big domestic cash.?

?I?ve known George for a while, I?ve sparred with him and watched him grow and now he?s my mandatory.?

?I will be pouring everything into my preparation for the fight and George will face the very best of me.?

It is certainly a fight I?ll look forward to and it?s one that could provide a real good domestic tear-up.

Has Groves got what it takes to step up another level or two to meet the threat Froch will present, or will the champion just be too good on the night!
