Having just produced one of the iconic punches of his career, a right hand that flattened George Groves, Carl Froch was full of the joys of life after successfully defending his WBA and IBF world title belts.
After the win and whilst milking the applause from the 80,000 inside Wembley Stadium, Froch had this to say about his latest win, a win that finally ended the grudge that existed between him and George Groves,
?I?m feeling unbelievably elated.?
?This is the best moment in my Boxing career.?
?I?ve been involved in some magnificent fights with top, top world champions. This is by the far the biggest and best crowd I?ve boxed in front of.?
?I?m proud. George Groves should be proud.?
?It was neck and neck in there. Sometimes in Boxing it only takes one punch and unfortunately for George he w son the end of a very heavy right hand.?
Continuing, Froch tried to explain what was different about his performance in this fight than in the original bout between the two pugilists, with Froch remarking,
?I didn?t rush in. I was concentrated and focussed.?
?I showed tonight just why I?m a four time champion of the world.?
He certainly did and now it remains to be seen what is next for Froch. Will it be another domestic tear-up with James DeGale or will Froch get the Vegas date he so yearns for?
