Another day nearer and now the anticipation levels are reaching an all-time high.
For many boxing aficionados Saturday night and the ring walks of Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg can?t come quick enough.
The adrenalin will be flowing and both boxers will have that steely glare in their eyes looking to go about their business, retain their respective world title straps and their unbeaten record.
Talking about the big fight, the IBF super-bantamweight title holder, Carl Frampton, reckons the fight has benefitted from the fact that it took so long to set up, with the 29-year-old remarking ahead of the contest,
‘There’s something different about this fight as the rivalry has been so long. It’s exciting me in a way that no other fight has before.
‘I’m not expecting an easy night but if I’m clever I’ll be alright.’
‘Making this fight happen has been talked about for so long. It has been a long time coming.
‘It’s a big occasion but I’ve been involved in big fights and big atmospheres before.
‘I’m relaxed, ready and raring to go. I feel like a kid at Christmas, I’m super-excited and can’t wait to get going.
‘I’ve been in camp for a long time as I wanted to make sure I was fully prepared. I’m in the shape of my life and my weight is perfect, it’s the easiest I’ve ever made it.’
It appears that Frampton is super-confident, just as Quigg is, like we?ve said, this is going to be some fight.
