This Saturday night, in New York, Carl Frampton will face his biggest test in Boxing since his career began.
If the world title unification bout with Scott Quigg was a huge fight the challenge that faces Frampton this Saturday night, when he challenges the Mexican fighter Leo Santa Cruz for a version of the super-featherweight crown, will either elevate the Northern Ireland fighter to superstardom or leave so many questions unanswered.
But, with the fight fast approaching, Frampton is supremely confident that he will become Northern Ireland?s first two-weight world boxing champion.
Speaking to the media, Frampton has remarked about what lies ahead,
‘I’m going to be so strong at this weight.
‘I think boxing people here in America are underestimating me because they are judging me on the Alejandro Gonzalez fight in Texas last year when I had a disastrous first round but came back to win fairly comfortably.
‘I think Leo Santa Cruz is underestimating me as well but I’ll change his mind when I start hitting him hard in the first round.’
Frampton is obviously hoping that his power can negate the height and reach advantage the Mexican champion has, let?s hope he?s correct.
