As we eagerly wait to see if Carl Frampton can fulfil a dream and become the IBF super-bantamweight champion of the world, the weigh-in took place today.

Taking on the current IBF champion, Kiko Martinez, a fighter Frampton has beaten before, both fighters appeared on stage at the Ulster Hall to be weighed.

The weights announced were:-

– Carl Frampton ? eight stone, nine pounds and seven ounces
– Kiko Martinez ? eight stone, nine pounds and two ounces.

The weigh-in, although tense, was a vociferous but well behaved encounter.

The next time we see the two fighters will be in the specially erected arena at the Titanic Quarter in Belfast.
