The announcement that the popular Irish fighter, Carl Frampton, was to meet Kiko Martinez for the super-bantamweight title was popular noise.

With Frampton having had a victory over Martinez the first time they met, hopes are high that the fighter managed by Barry McGuigan can become a world champion.

When the fight announcement was made the venue for this epic clash wasn?t known, however it has now been announced that the fight will take place at the Belfast Titanic Quarter on September 6th.

If Frampton can win a version of the world title, could we see an epic domestic clash be forthcoming against Bury?s Scott Quigg in a world title unification bout?
