Now that the Belfast IBF world bantamweight champion, Carl Frampton, is set to return to training big-time, with those hands having healed, the talk is returning to a domestic showdown with Scott Quigg.
Whilst Frampton admits he would like to get Quigg into the ring as soon as possible he readily accepts that he is obliged to make a mandatory defence first suggesting it will be against Chris Avalos.
However, when it comes to Quigg, Carl has remarked,
?I want to fight Scott Quigg next but I have to fight this mandatory challenger so that can?t happen.?
?But after that I can fight Quigg as a voluntary defence ? the Odyssey Arena would be too small, it needs to be outdoor somewhere. You could have it in Belfast, maybe Windsor Park or Ravenhill, put 30,000 people in there in the summer time.?
I get the feeling that the Quigg camp might have something to say about fighting in Ireland but if some kind of compromise can be reached the perhaps, just perhaps, this domestic tear-up will happen!
Frampton Talks Quigg Again!
