After reporting the fact that Carl Frampton had, seemingly, split from Barry McGuigan and Cyclone Promotions, is it all as clear-cut as we?re led to believe?
The reason we ask is that it has been confirmed by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) that it holds an official contract that confirms Barry McGuigan is still Carl Frampton?s manager.
If this is the case, confusion remains as to when Frampton can climb between the ropes to resume his career.
The suggestion being that the contract may have to be dissolved by mutual consent for a ring return to occur.
If it isn?t annulled by mutual consent and if either party disputes the split then the differences would have to be resolved in front of the BBBoC.
Although it appears the BBBoC are reluctant to get directly involved, calling it a private matter.
