It?s a fight we all want to see, Carl Frampton against Scott Quigg, but could the over-eagerness to stage it prevent it from happening?
Last week the Frampton camp, headed up by Barry McGuigan, were hinting that a June date could be on the cards.
The indications were that negotiations were on-going and that McGuigan, even though there were problems with regards to who would televise the fight, was confident an agreement could be reached.
Now it appears that the Frampton camp have been enraged by the actions of Scott Quigg and his promoter Eddie Hearn with the dup appearing on Sky Sports waving a cheque, for £1.5 million, around suggesting it would be Frampton?s if he were to take bout.
The stunt has had Frampton remarking,
‘It is frustrating they have deviated from negotiations with this TV offer.?
Indeed it is and with Frampton, in our opinion, holding a more deserved version of the crown, Quigg?s camp had better be careful!
