The shock announcement that confirmed that Carl Frampton had split from Cyclone Promotions last month caught us a little bit by surprise.

Frampton and Barry McGuigan seemed to be one of those Boxing partnerships that would go on forever.

However, obviously something wasn?t quite right behind the scenes and it appeared to come to a head when Frampton came in over the weight for his bout with Andres Gutierrez, a fight that was subsequently postponed when Gutierrez had an accident in his hotel shower.

Once the split was announced, speculation as to who would be Frampton?s new trainer, replacing Shane McGuigan, took centre stage.

Well, the wait is now over as Frampton has announced that he will be trained by Jamie Moore.

Moore, who won Irish, British, Commonwealth and European titles during his career, has already trained some prominent fighters with Matthew Macklin and Tommy Coyle amongst his stable of boxers.

Now, with his trainer sorted, we wait and see who Frampton will fight next and who his promoter will be.

Another waiting game!
