Not too long ago we reported on how Carl Frampton had reported he would be making a return to the ring next month.

After losing his world featherweight title in the re-match with Leo Santa Cruz, in the US, Carl will climb back into the ring on 29th July at Belfast?s SSE Arena.

The fight, Frampton?s first since that defeat in Las Vegas, back in January, has been classified as an eliminator for the WBC world featherweight title.

Frampton?s opponent will be the rated Mexican fighter, Andres Gutierrez, a fighter who has lost just one of the thirty-five fights he has had.

Gutierrez is also a former WBC Silver featherweight champion and his ambitions match those held by Frampton.

It has the makings of a classic fight but which Frampton cannot afford to lose.

Remember the date, 29th July, remember the venue, the SSE Arena in Belfast.
