As the build up to the huge super-bantamweight unification fight starts in earnest, both boxers have had something to say.

Rumours are doing the rounds that, in sparring, Carl Frampton has been knocked out, something Scott Quigg hammered on in a recent interview, with the Bury fighter remarking,

‘I know for a fact he has been knocked out in sparring.?

Which has prompted Frampton to retort to his opponent,

‘They are clutching at straws. I’ve never been knocked out in my life.’

Continuing, Frampton has stated that he?s of the opinion Quigg knows he can?t win, further remarking,

‘Scott Quigg doesn’t actually believe that he can win,.

‘There are doubts there. And I know that me at 90% beats the best ever Scott Quigg.’

Before Quigg, digging his heels in, brought back talk of Frampton being knocked-out in sparring again, further adding,

‘I know for a fact I haven’t been knocked out in sparring but that’s not the case with Carl and they know that.

‘If the shoe was on the other foot or they’d heard any rumours, they would be quick to say it but they can’t.’

I guess one day the truth might emerge about the knocked-out in sparring rumour that is if it is true!
