Still basking in the glory of that night back in September when Carl Frampton produced a master-class to take the IBF super-bantamweight title off of Kiko Martinez, the Belfast fighter picked up hand injuries.
However, the news coming out of Belfast is that the damage is healing nicely and that Frampton will be able to resume training in a couple of weeks, with Frampton revealing,
?I have been to see the doctor and he says the hands are doing well and I should be back punching in a couple of weeks.?
?That is great news and I have been training away anyway keeping myself in good shape because I know I am now entering a vital part of my career.?
?The fight against Martinez was a tough one, but thankfully the hands are coming along well.?
Full steam ahead shortly then as Barry McGuigan and his team look to organise his first defence of that IBF crown for a sportsman who is fast becoming a fully-fledged Irish hero.
Frampton Almost Ready to Resume Punching!
