The hugely anticipated clash between Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacquiao is expected to be a huge revenue generating fight, quite probably making it the richest fight in history.

Tickets for the fight are like hot-cakes and many genuine lovers of the sport will be resigned to watching the contest on the many pay-per-view options on offer.

However, a select few will be in Las Vegas hoping to pick up a ticket from an unlikely source.

A few more might be in the gambling capital of the world hoping to see the weigh-in which could well be a tempestuous affair.

Now from what I can recall, weigh-ins are normally free, but that isn?t the case for this fight.

It has been announced that entry to the pre-fight weigh-in will cost $10.

It seems that Pacquiao?s promoter Bob Arum, thought it might be a good idea to charge this fee to pay for security to control the crowd and give any of the pot that is left to charity.

My immediate thoughts are that it is another rip-off.

If Arum is keen to see charity benefit from the bout then why not give 0.5% of the revenue streams generated to a worthy charity!
