The recent postponement of the hugely awaited heavyweight re-match between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko had left the current WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan in a quandary.

Flanagan was supposed to be defending his lightweight belt against Mzonke Fana on the under-card.

However, it has been announced that the fight has been rescheduled and that Flanagan will make the third defence of his title on 16th July at the Cardiff Ice Arena,

The Manchester fighter will enter the ring unbeaten in 30 professional fights and will be looking to extend that record against the ex-featherweight world champion who is now forty-two years of age.

In delaying the fight for a week Flanagan?s camp will have to adjust his training schedule but here at Vital Boxing we reckon Flanagan will hang on to his title but it could go the distance.
