Whilst many, after George Groves was named as the mandatory IBF challenger for his super-middleweight belt, suspected Carl would be chasing bigger fish to fry.

But Froch seems determined that he will fight Groves next, although the date of the clash is, still, somewhat up in the air.

Speaking to the national media, Froch is quoted as having commented,

?George Groves is next in line, so we?re in negotiations.?

?Potentially the fight might happen this year but it is more likely to happen, if it does, next year.?

Personally, I?d be interested to know if the Froch camp would prefer to keep Groves waiting until the new year and slip in a fight in between then and now, or whether the intentions are to take on Groves as soon as possible before turning their attention back to Andre Ward.
