Although it would appear, according to various media vehicles, Chris Eubank Junior and Billy Joe Saunders have their own futures mapped out, it appears that talks are in hand to set up a re-match between the two middleweights.

The first fight saw Eubank Junior start slowly and come on strong but losing on a split decision verdict.

Saunders has indicated that he could beat Eubank blindfolded in a re-match and has a desire to fight Cotto next whilst Eubank Junior is content to fight Nick Blackwell for the British title next ahead of a world title bout with Daniel Jacobs.

However, there is the distinct possibility the two could meet in a huge match-up, late in the summer, a match up made even more intriguing if both hold world title belts at the time.

Spilling the beans on the possibility, Chris Eubank Senior is quoted in the tabloid press as having remarked,

?Negotiations have started with Frank Warren for the Saunders fight this summer.

?But we want to negotiate for the British championship first. There will be a time for Jacobs and Saunders.?

It would seem that Team Eubank have their priorities all set for next year ? the British title, the world title and then revenge for that split decision defeat against Billy Joe Saunders, the only blot on the record books!
