A week on Saturday, (July 15th) at the Wembley Arena, Chris Eubank Jnr will be making the first defence of his IBO world super-middleweight title.

Eubank Jnr will be taking on the veteran German fighter Arthur Abraham over 12 rounds.

Abraham, at 37-years-of-age, has mixed it with the best Britain can offer and already holds wins over Paul Smith (twice) and Martin Murray.

But some pundits are predicting that with Father Time advancing, Eubank Jnr will be taking on Abraham at the perfect time and should be the odds-on favourite to retain his world title.

The fight itself, if you haven?t got tickets, will be shown live on ITV Box Office.

But, confirmation has come through this morning that for the winner there is the chance to participate in the inaugural World Boxing Super Series.

The competition is designed to operate in a knockout system which will, hopefully, change the face of boxing.

Its aim is for the winner of the series to not only be rewarded handsomely financially but also emerged as the undisputed champion of the weight division.

Exciting times ahead for Chris Eubank Jnr is what we predict.
