Earlier this week we ran an article that implied the IBO Super-Middleweight champion, Chris Eubank Jnr, had been offered a sizeable sum to defend his title against Arthur Abraham.

We pointed out that if Eubank Jnr were to accept the offer then it would be a step-up in class taking on the three-time two-weight world champion, who has won 46 of his 51 fights.

Well, it appears that Eubank Jnr, who won the IBO title after defeating Renold Quinlan, courtesy of a 10th round knockout back in February, is up for the challenge.

Reports are appearing, in the media, the bout will take place in London with the date expected to be either of the following ? July 15th or July 22nd.

The fight will be Eubank Jnr?s first defence of his title and could pave the way for a clash with the leading lights of the division who, perhaps, hold the more prestigious versions of the belt.

Let?s all just hope the fight, if it happens, isn?t put on ITV Pay-per-View and is available for viewing by the general public.
