It would appear that losing can be beneficial to a boxer these days.

Hot on the heels of the decision to make George Groves comeback fight a bout whereby the winner earned mandatory rights to fight for a world title, despite Groves? two previous fights ending in defeat at the hands of Carl Froch, it would seem that Chris Eubank Junior has had a slice of luck.

It has been announced that on the undercard of the Tyson Fury v Christian Hammer WBO Intercontinental heavyweight title defence, Eubank will be taking on the interim WBA world middleweight champion Dmitry Chudinov.

Eubank?s last outing saw him lose, albeit to a split decision, to Billy Jose Saunders. It would appear that a combination of the narrow loss, some good management work and a bit of luck has given Eubank the chance to grab something, at the O2 Arena on 28th February, many thought had slipped away, for now, when the arm of Billy Joe Saunders was raised in his last fight.

It?s a strange world is it not?
