Eggington continues to showcase his improving talent.

The Ice Arena, in Hull, last night Sam Eggington continued to show that he could be a name to look out for in the future when he produced another performance to stop the previously unbeaten Shayne Singleton.

Eggington dominated the fight from the off as he ignored any punches thrown by Singleton, walking through them to ensure he off-loaded blows of his own. Singleton ended up on the canvas in round three after being weakened by a flurry of blows before a right dumped him on his backside.

After beating the count Singleton responded well but it was clear that the heavier shots were coming from Eggington. The fifth round saw the fight come to an end when the referee, Victor Laughlin, having seen Singleton go down twice in the round waved the fight off.

In defeating Singleton, Eggington claimed the WBC international silver title and moved to 14-2 with 8 coming by way of stoppages whilst Singleton slipped to 20-1 with 6 by way of knockout.
