There?s talk in the media of Carl Froch taking on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in his next fight.

Froch, with a record that reads 32-2 with 23 by way of knockout, would be, if the fight comes off, defending his IBF and WBA super-middleweight belts against Chavez Jr who has a record of 47-1-1 with 32 by way of knockout and who is the former WBC middleweight champion.

A date sometime in July is mentioned with the fight being screened by HBO from Vegas.

Speaking about the possibility of the fight happening, Eddie Hearn is quoted as having remarked,

?I spoke to Bob Arum last night [and], they love the Chavez fight.?

?July in Vegas was discussed as a possibility, potentially on HBO pay-per-view if he [Chavez Jr] beats Vera.?

Please, can we stop right there!

If I recall correctly, back in Manchester when George Groves was prematurely stopped in his fight against Carl Froch, Eddie Hearn was as vociferous as the rest of the when it came to suggesting that Groves deserved a re-match.

Therefore, before we listen to all this guff about Froch fighting in Vegas, how about doing the decent thing and getting Froch back in with Groves first, to settle the argument once and for all?
