With James DeGale safely back in London after claiming the vacant IBF super-middleweight belt, in Boston, last weekend, Andre Dirrell, his beaten opponent is still somewhat bemused by it all.

Dirrell still can?t accept that he was beaten by DeGale and believes the British fighter robbed him of what he believed was rightfully his, the world title belt.

In fact Dirrell is so keen to get his hands on what he believes was rightfully his, he?s offered to come to England for a re-match, remarking to the media,

?It was a tough loss, and I totally understand I?ll just have to take it, but I?m up for a rematch.

?DeGale might want it in England, and I?m willing to go over there and fight him for it. I?m ready to fight yesterday. I want to get back in the gym in about three weeks, and then be back in the ring in the next four months. I definitely want a rematch. I?m eyeing that all the way.?

Unfortunately, we don?t believe the contract for the original bout contained any re-match clauses. Whether Dirrell will get his wish remains to be seen but it could be all in the hands of the IBF and Eddie Hearn as to when, or if, it ever happens.
