Some decisions we?ve witnessed recently have been, how you might say, dodgy.
Last weekend, Brian Rose was on the end of a dodgy call when Ian John-Lewis seemed to step in far too early at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
It was thought that dodgy decisions were limited to British fighters going into mainland Europe to fight but, like most things, change is the word.
With James DeGale set to take on Andre Dirrell, for the vacant IBF super-middleweight title on April 25th, it appears that Dirrell has no qualms about returning to these shores for the world title fight even though he was on the wrong end of what he feels was a dodgy decision when he lost to Carl Froch, back in 2009, in Nottingham.
Talking about taking on DeGale in the UK, as opposed to his native US, Dirrell has remarked,
?I?ll be willing to do whatever it takes. I?m definitely unhappy with the judges? decision last time, but that is no reason for me to be worried about coming there the second time around.?
?I do feel like I was unfairly treated there.?
Perhaps Dirrell has been encouraged by the good fortune Carson Jones had against Brian Rose in that aforementioned fight in Blackpool, last weekend.
