Across the pond, at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio California, the big punching American heavyweight, Deontay Wilder, extended his unbeaten record with an emphatic first round knockout of the experienced Sergei Liakhovich.

Wilder extended his record to 290, with all 29 victories coming by way of knockout, with a devastating three punch combination that left the former WBO heavyweight champion, Liakhovich, flat out and unable, by a country mile, to beat the count.

Those watching the bout who saw the devastating right hand punch that put Liakhovich on the canvas, will now be looking towards Wilder?s management pushing him towards a world title fight inside the next twelve to eighteen months with may believing the final punch would have knocked out any heavyweight in the world, including the Klitschko brothers, but will the current big names of the heavyweight division be prepared to take on the big punching Wilder, that remains to be seen.
