Last week we mentioned how the super-middleweight fight between James DeGale and Badou Jack was being touted as happening on January 14th 2017, in Brooklyn, New York.

It has now been officially confirmed that the fight will take place on the referenced date and the venue will be the Barclays Centre.

The fight will see James DeGale, the IBF world super-middleweight champion, go toe-to-toe with Badou Jack the WBC world super-middleweight title holder.

DeGale will enter the ring with a record that reads 23-1 with 14 wins coming by way of knockout, whilst Badou Jack will enter the ring with a record that reads 20-1-2 with 12 wins coming by knockout.

The fight has all the promise of being a pretty decent one with nobody having home advantage.

DeGale is English whilst Jack is a Swede that now resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Whether the duo can sell out the Barclays Centre remains to be seen, I suggest it might need a strong undercard for the New York public to flock to the fight.
