It?s looking as if that might be the scenario.

With the IBF finally getting heavy with Carl Froch and ordering him to either fight James DeGale or relinquish the IBF super-middleweight belt, it looks as if Froch will do the latter.

The Nottingham fighter continues to chase his dream fight-night in Las Vegas and it is looking increasingly likely he?ll be forced to give up the IBF crown.

If that is the scenario then the grapevine is suggesting that James DeGale will finally get his world title chance and will be matched, for the vacant title, against the #7 IBF fighter Andre Dirrell.

Dirrell currently has a record that reads 24-1 with 16 by way of knockout and will prove a very stiff test for the British fighter who has a record that currently reads 20-1 with 14 by way of knockout.

DeGale has always talked a good fight, a contest against Dirrell could be the perfect opportunity for DeGale to show us just how good he might be.
