Tomorrow is the day!
After a long wait, we?re just a day away from a night whereby Anthony Joshua could be crowned the IBF heavyweight champion of the world.
With just fifteen professional fights to his name, Joshua?s camp have taken a huge gamble in taking on Prince Charles Martin.
Martin, who will be making the first defence of his title remains something of an unknown proposition, a south-paw who hasn?t fought anyone of real note but has a twenty-four fight unbeaten professional record.
Many pundits, ahead of the fight, have suggested that this is a bout that could go either way, with two big punchers set to collide that could be the case.
However, another British boxer who has trodden the same route as Antony Joshua, James DeGale, is of the opinion that Antony can follow the route he took, going from Olympic Gold medal winner to world champion.
DeGale, in claiming the IBF super-middleweight champion, became the first British Olympic gold medal winner to win a world title in the professional ranks.
Talking about Joshua becoming the second Brit to do such a feat, DeGale has remarked to the media,
?We don?t know too much about Martin. He has no standout performances or big names on his record.
?I expect AJ to win well and be our next world champ.?
Let?s hope that James DeGale has judged tis one correctly.
