This Saturday evening, across the pond, James DeGale is set to make a defence of his IBF super-middleweight title.

DeGale, who has vowed to not duck anyone in his quest to become the unified holder of all the super-middleweight titles.

On Saturday evening, in Washington, DeGale will be taking on Rogelio Medina, but DeGale seems to have eyes on a bout against another British fighter keen to light up the division, Callum Smith.

DeGale, ahead of the fight against Rogelio Medina, has remarked about his rival, from Liverpool,

?Callum had a good win against Mohoumadi but, let?s be real, Mohoumadi is limited.

?They?re only rating that performance so highly because Mohoumadi went 12 rounds with me four years ago when I was injured.

?Callum hasn?t beaten anyone of real note yet and it?s a hype thing.

?I?m the best out there at 169lb ? no one will beat me. I?ll box for the WBC after Medina and then, if the fight with Callum is there, let?s have it.?

Fighting talk there from DeGale, but a clash between DeGale and Smith would be a fight to look out for.
