The end of this month will see James DeGale, the current IBF super-middleweight champion, take on Lucien Bute in a title defence at the Centre Videotron.

Naturally, DeGale who has a record that reads 21-1 with 14 wins coming by knockout, is confident of beating the challenger, who has a record that reads 32-2 with 25 wins by knockout.

In fact it seems the London fighter is so confident of retaining his title he has already focused on who he could be sharing the ring next with DeGale suggesting bouts against the WBC champion Badou Jack, who recently beat George Groves, or Martin Murray if the St Helens fighter can wrestle the WBO belt from the German champion, Arthur Abraham.

Talking about his plans, DeGale is quoted as having remarked to Sky Sports.

?I?m looking at Badou Jack and Martin Murray if he comes through against Arthur Abraham,.

?I want unification fights against big names. The Jack fight would be massive. I wouldn?t mind if it was in Las Vegas.?

DeGale also emphasized that he has no problems fighting abroad, describing himself as a ?road warrior? further adding,

?You can call me a road warrior now because that?s what I do,?

I travel, win world titles and defend away from home. Hopefully next year, I want to come back home. I?m proud to be British and I?m a London boy and I want to fight in London.?

Bute will provide tough opposition but DeGale should have the skills to beat him and then it really could get interesting as he heads down the unification route.
