Boxing for the second time in three weeks, James DeGale stopped his Croatian opponent, Stjepan Bozic in four rounds to retain his WBC silver super-middleweight title in Bluewater.

Having stated that he will be boxing for a world title sometime this year, DeGale produced a display of dazzling punching that befuddled his 27 year opponent forcing his corner to throw the towel in at the end of round four.

Discussing the decision after the fight, the enthusiastic DeGale had this to say,

?His corner made the right decision to stop the fight.?

?He was taking too much punishment and was hardly laying a glove on me.?

?I knew I would get him out of there quick because my raw power shots were hurting him.?

?When I am fully focussed I don?t think there is anyone in the world who can live with me in the ring.?

A confident claim but one that DeGale will still have to substantiate if he is to mix it with the best. Despatching two capable opponents in three weeks is a good way of keeping your name up in lights and boosting your record, but we?re still none the wiser as to whether DeGale, as he claims, is the real deal.

I guess only time will tell!
