Earlier this month we reported on how James DeGale had decided to leave the Mick Hennessey stable.

DeGale, who is finally on the verge of a world title shot, reportedly paid up his contract and decided that a fresh approach to his career was needed.

Today it is widely expected that DeGale will sign up with the Matchroom stable, with the promoter Eddie Hearn.

If so, it?ll be DeGale?s third promoter since turning professional.

However, it would appear that the split from Hennessey is far from amicable with Hennessey remarking about DeGale jumping ship, believing the London fighter has broken his contract forcing Hennessey to remark,

?If necessary we will take the appropriate legal action.?

Many Boxing pundits are of the opinion that perhaps DeGale?s head has been turned by the manner in which two of his rivals, Carl Froch and George Groves, have been elevated to almost super-fight status and that the money they?re generating in the re-match, is something DeGale would like a slice off!

Now whether any legal battle will affect DeGale?s progress remains to be seen!
