Fighting on the undercard at the Liverpool Echo Arena, next Saturday, against Marco Antonio Periban, James DeGale is already looking forward to 2015.

DeGale, who is the mandatory challenger for Carl Froch?s IBF super-middleweight title, has given up hope of getting Froch into the ring and is, instead, looking at other avenues to get his world title fight.

With Froch expected to either relinquish or be stripped of the IBF belt, there is talk of DeGale fighting the unbeaten 23 year-old Mexican, Gilberto Ramirez.

Ramirez, 24 years of age, has a fearsome record that reads 28-0 with 24 of those wins coming by way of knockout.

Talking about the situation, DeGale has this to say to the media about Ramirez,

?Ramirez is 28-0 with 24 knockouts. He?s a good southpaw who we could get over here.?

And on Froch, DeGale remarked,

?I know my next fight after Periban is for the world title, so I don?t care about Froch.?

?People keep going on about me calling out Froch but I don?t care about him. He can go away, I don?t give a damn.?

?After I win the world title I will earn real money. I can wait til next year.?

You probably can James, but the point is you shouldn?t have to, Froch should have done the decent thing before now, either fight you or relinquish that IBF belt.
