With the news circulating around the internet that the possibility of Carl Froch fighting in Las Vegas could be on again, it hasn?t taken long for the James DeGale camp to mutter their thoughts.

The chances of DeGale being allowed to face Froch as the mandatory challenger appear to be getting slimmer and slimmer.

In fact the DeGale camp, through his advisor Ambrose Mendy, are, it would seem, looking to get DeGale an IBF title fight through a different route.

Speaking about Froch, Mendy has remarked,

‘Carl Froch is out of the picture, he’s had his day.’

‘He can’t find enough reasons to fight James DeGale and yet there’s an obvious one – he’s the mandatory challenger.’

Which is a fair enough point, but as for the road forward, the DeGale camp believe that Froch will either relinquish the belt or be stripped which they believe will open up a route for DeGale to take on Mexico?s Gilberto Ramirez Sanchez for the vacant title, with the much advertised, for another reason, date of 31st January 2015 being suggested.

In a venture that has taken so many twists and turns, it?ll be interesting to see if this is the way things will, as Ambrose predicts, turn out!
