And so the indecision relating to when and where James DeGale will fight Andre Dirrell for the super-middleweight crown has ended.

It has been announced that the fight will, as we knew, take place in the US at the Agganis Arena in Boston with May 23rd being the date.

It had been hoped that the fight would take place in the UK but having lost the purse bid DeGale had no option other than to face the American in Boston for the vacant IBF version of the belt vacated by Carl Froch.

But, travelling doesn?t seem to faze DeGale who has already stated,

?I?m not bothered where my title fight is. A ring is a ring no matter where it is.

?I have no worries about travelling to the United States to fight ? I?ll be bringing the belt home with me.?

That remains to be seen but here at Vital Boxing we?re quietly confident that the 29-year old fighter will do just that.
