In eight days? time, James DeGale could become the UK?s only super-middleweight champion.

With Carl Froch having given up the IBF belt, enabling DeGale to fight Dirrell and then having been subsequently stripped of his WBA belt, whilst George Groves waits for his chance to take on Badou Jack for the WBC version, DeGale has the chance to make a real mark in the division.

However, whilst the US boxing pundits are of the belief that DeGale isn?t good enough to beat Dirrell, the UK boxer has belief in his talent remarking to the media,

?I honestly think you?re going to see the best performance of my career.

?This one is going to top it off by winning the world title and making history. I thrive on the pressure.

?I?m feeling relaxed, chilled and can?t wait to perform.

?My time is here, next Saturday. I?ve trained very hard and you lot are in for a treat. I?m confident of winning.?

Go for it James, show those Americans who is the super-middleweight daddy!
