Having seen his arch rival George Groves box for the world title and see his challenge against Carl Froch end in controversial style, James DeGale is closing in on a world title shot of his own.

According to news surfacing today, DeGale will partake in a final eliminator for the WBC world super middleweight title with the winner becoming the mandatory challenger for the belt.

The opponent DeGale will be stepping into the ring against is he unbeaten 30 year-old Badou Jack.

As of yet, no date of venue has been agreed for the fight but it is being intimated that it could be in England and as soon as March 1st.

Talking about this golden opportunity, De Gale is quoted as having remarked,

‘This is the fight I’ve been aiming towards and it’s a chance I’m going to take with both hands. I’m 100% fit, 100% hungry and I’m good to go.?

It?s also the time to put up or shut-up I?d suggest!
