This Saturday, when David Haye makes his long awaited return to the ring, many people are suspecting that his opponent, Mark De Mori will be nothing more than a fall-guy.

But after being out of the ring for some three and a half years, since taking on an debating Dereck Chisora, De Mori is ready to spring what he believes will be an upset.

But what do we know about the Australian born boxer.

Born in Perth De Mori has a record that shows he has only lost once in his thirty three fights so far.

More importantly, the thirty-three year old hasn’t been beaten since 2004.

His record also shows that he is a bit of a puncher, with twenty six of his victories coming by way of the big knockout.

But his rise to this level in the sport of boxing has been somewhat unusual, De Mori admits that he started off training himself in his dad’s garage with his wife wiping the blood from his face.

Furthermore he’s not prepared to wait for Haye breaking down injured, as he puts it, he’s going to take the fight to Haye, remarking about his plan of action,

‘To put yourself in that position, you can’t sit around on the outside dancing around and being defensive, you have to engage.

‘It’s a risky approach, but it’s the only approach a guy with my style can take, and that’s what I’m prepared for.’

If he fights as good as he talks and his record suggests, the bout has all the makings of a classic.
