The under-card at the SSE Wembley Arena, saw two unbeaten fighters go head-to-head.

In a super-lightweight fight, Liverpool?s Robbie Davies Jnr was matched against the Polish fighter Michal Syrowatka.

The first half of the fight went according to plan for Davies Jnr with his slick boxing and punching forcing the issue.

However, Syrowatka, as the fight wore on, started to come more into it, his clubbing punches causing Davies Jnr problems.

As we entered the last round it seemed all Davies Jnr had to do was to survive whilst Syrowtka knew he had to force a stoppage.

That is precisely what the Polish fighter did, landing some huge punches on Davies Jnr that had him in trouble.

Sensing their man was about to be knocked clean-out, the towel was thrown in and Davies Jnr had lost his first professional bout in sixteen fights.

Sadly, the Liverpool fighter was taken out of the arena on a stretcher and taken to hospital but reports later suggested it was just a precautionary measure and the fighter was okay.

It was the sort of fight where the words re-match screams out at you, let?s hope it can be arranged.
