A while ago, it was announced that the next stage of Carl Frampton?s quest to regain his status would see him take on the former four-weight world champion, Nonito Donaire.
At the time of the announcement it was suspected that the fight would take place at the SSE Arena, in Belfast, on April 7th.
It has now been confirmed that the fight will take place at the SSE Arena but on the 21 April.
After losing his world-title, to Leo Santa Cruz, Frampton got back to winning ways when he out-pointed the Mexican fighter Horacio Garcia.
In taking on Donaire, Frampton will be facing an experienced and very tough opponent.
A win would further Frampton?s desire to fight for a world title in Windsor Park, in the summer of 2018, with a possible opponent being the winner of the IBF featherweight title fight between Lee Selby and Josh Warrington.
